Let’s Talk About Implementation:

Water Supply Expansion Effort: water loss reduction investments that will save over 10 billion gallons.
Water For All Strategy: ensures modern indoor sanitation and access to piped water to all residents of the Zone by 2025.


Monitoring:

            Metered Water: obtained through reverse osmosis which is offered by providers.
            Water Catchment Systems:
             

Cost:

            CDB project- $28.33 million
            Counterpart financing- $13.3 million


Climate Change:

            Saltwater Intrusion: contaminates water in the Bahamas due to high prevalence of saltwater intrusion.


Resources:

            The Water and Sewerage Corporation (WSC): (Government organization) entrusted with managing, maintaining, distributing and developing the water resources of The Bahamas that continually seeks to expand its water supply and sanitation services throughout The Bahamas.
            Water and Sewerage Corporation: $75 million project to expand the sewerage system to cover over two-thirds of Over the Hill households.
